Summer, 'O8 We have the great news that Henry ’s duo recording with Rashied Ali called “Going to the Ritual,” complete with Henry Grimes booklet illustrations and liner notes by the wonderful writer Marc Medwin, will be released on Porter Records in July! (http://www.porterrecords.com).
And Henry's amazing non-stop three-hour solo bass and violin session for ILK Music (Denmark) that took place in March will result in another great new release (or two!) sometime around November (http://www.ilkmusic.com).
Also, Roswell Rudd's Trombone Shout Band, featuring the trombones of Roswell, Steve Swell, and Deborah Weisz, bass and violin of Henry Grimes, tuba of Bob Stewart, and drums of Barry Altschul, recorded in May, so that will be another addition to Henry's discography!
Meanwhile, life and music go on.
